EPIC WIN:
Just dropped by to let you know that remember that Planner cover 'contest-ish' thing I was telling you about?
Well My cover won. It's gonna be put on next year's Planner in august. (:
Mr. S called me over to his desk and I swear to god I actually through I was in trouble [I guess the fear didn't rub off when I got called down to the office during art EPIC FAIL: [4 class lates= 1 hour detention either tomorrow or Wednesday], I might switch it to Wednesday, it's not supposed to rain that day and mom works until five. :) or, now that I look at the weather, There's a chance of thunderstorms, but the tmperatures are supposed to get to 64 or 65, Mom works till 8, Besides after the one hour, which is like, 3, That gives me a good over 5 hours to practice walking aimlessly. Fuck thunderstorms. 50% chance rain will even happen, today's percentage was 100%, Weather Underground is pretty accurate about this kind of shit.
My first Detention in high school. Woo!
I can't wait to ghet the new planners in August. 20 minutes of work = majorly duplicated image that everybody sees and draws on on a book that's worth 7 bucks if they lose it and need another one. lol.

Being a computer animation student We work with Flash A whole bunch.
Being a Flash Vector student we're given the opportunity to create a possible next School Planbook cover. [It's basically a contest] The picture above is my entry, [I took a screenshot of it, since it's a SWF file which I'm unsure about being able to upload.] The only thing I'm slightly proud of is the gradientHell Run-of-the-mill Comet. Oh well.
Don't ask about the colors, In fact, here's the description template itself:

Use Flash to design a cover for the Penn Manor High School passbook for the 2009-2010 school year. Use the template provided. - Do not delete layers! - Do not change the canvas size! - YOU MAY ONLY USE THE COLORS: BLACK, WHITE, AND THE BLUE AND GOLD COLORS PROVIDED ON THE TEMPLATE!

Yeah, Yeah, I get it, No other colors except for the oddly strange blue and the Wish-You-were-dead baby crap gold.

Actually after staring at just those two colors for about 2 hours you grow to like them.

They're also the opposite of each other, those colors. Or, in flash they are.

His first words were said to me in the hallways today, I wasn't with Sidney and he said in a crude teenager fatass voice, "BITCH." I laughed and laughed and laughed, then I found Sidney and we took a wild guess as to which hallway he went down and, as usual, we were RIGHT! we were lookin' in doorways and out of nowhere I see fatass and I stopped and smiled and smiled and smiled and Sidney smiled and smiled.

And as for SCRUFFY, during the PSSA days he's been getting off the bus and right to his PSSA testing room, and we were right there at the front doors waiting for him. Today he had his hood up and a teacher yelled at him
"Take your hood down"
...(no response) he continued to walk
"Take your hood down!"
....(diddo)
At this time Scruffy walks into his classroom with the teacher following him
"Is he plugged in?"
This line made my whole day.

Still in the learning [almost self-teaching] process of rendering and shading. God.
This is the only thing I've been working on. I'm risking an automatic detention [but My mom would totally blow smoke up their asses if they did that] by not going to school on career day tomorrow, I never signed up for anything, so, I'm fucked either way. Not going. Maybe I'll work on this. Or not. I might just be lazy. Who knows....
I don't think I'll be starting anything new for a bit. I've got a few WIPs built up. Pheh.

Current WIP
I was going to use the pen tool on this, after I figured I couldn't import it to Flash, :\
Then the pen tool was hard to see so I finally decided to do the lineart with my tabet and the brush tool. Not my favorite technique. Yet, neither is the pen tool...























The red colored pencil indicates the planned shading areas.
